Geronimo Volunteer Fire Department is one of nine volunteer fire departments in the county of Guadalupe, Texas and serves an area of 62 square miles and a population of 8,000 people.

Geronimo V.F.D. maintains one brush truck, one quick response truck, one pumper and one pumper/rescue.

Geronimo V.F.D. shares mutual aid contracts with the surrounding volunteer and paid fire services.

G.V.F.D. is an accredited First Responder Organization (FRO) with the State of Texas Department of State Health Services. G.V.F.D. relies on Seguin Fire/E.M.S. as its E.M.S. transport provider.

G.V.F.D. holds one fundraising event during the year. A Bar-B-Que and Auction are held on the first Saturday in October.
